‘Job satisfaction and turnover intentions among staff in community-based hospitality establishments: A comparative case of Maasai Mara and Amboseli Protected Areas, Kenya’

Although there are many statistics available with regard to tourism in Kenya, little data has been gathered on the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intentions in Kenya’s hospitality industry as a whole and in community-based hospitality enterprises around protected areas in particular. Peter’s study therefore investigates the role of job satisfaction in turnover intentions management in community-based hospitality enterprises in wildlife protected areas, with a special focus on issues such as perceived organisational support. Peter will investigate the issue by using several methods, both quantitative and qualitative.

Currently Peter is starting his field work pilot study and refining his data collection tools.
