The second important pillar of the 3A-STEP project is the improvement of academic relevance and excellence in the benefitciary African partner universities, concerning the linkages between sustainable tourism development, nature conservation and poverty alleviation. Accordingly project partners will participate/work on:

• a 10-day training programme in Wageningen, the Netherlands
• two tailor-made modules (each 6 ECTS) concerning environmental sustainability and poverty reduction in sustainable tourism development, which are then incorporated and implemented in the regular curricula and courses of the African partner universities
• re-modelling and piloting of the modules into Continuos Professional Development (CPD) modules.
